Thibau Nys raced for the first time as a men's elite rider today and took the win. In the fast Beringen circuit, he outsprinted Eli Iserbyt to win the first big cross of the season.
The race in Beringen was dry and without too many obstacles. Hence, the race proved not to be too selective, despite the long ascents that it featured. The attacks began right from the start. Lars van der Haar, Thibau Nys, Michael Vanthourenhout and Eli Iserbyt were all among those looking to set off, however there were always ready responses.

In the final minute of racing he lost position in a technical section and was overtaken, but then had the necessary explosion in the final straight and outsprinted Eli Iserbyt to take the triumph - whilst Michael Vanthourenhout completed the podium.
