Lucinda Brand returns to the field in Exact Cross Mol - Zilvermeercross. The Dutchwoman took a short break after Boom World Cup.
"Having been intensely busy with my recovery the weeks before, I was also a bit more susceptible to germs. So I caught a cold early this month. It was one that shocked me. I was very sick. It was another setback," Brand told sporza.
This season hasn't been great for Brand. She broke her hand in October, so she was forced to miss the European Championships, and then she was sick with a cold, so she missed two weeks of training.
However, her return be won’t be easy as she will have to compete against the likes of Aniek van Alphen."I myself aim for at least a podium place. That would be nice to start the busy Christmas period. Especially Aniek van Alphen is in a good period. Fortunately, the course there at Zilvermeer is not too technical. You do need sand skills, but you can compensate with some extra power,” concluded the Dutchwoman.
