Stefano Viezzi was a dominant force of this cyclocross season, winning three World Cup races among juniors. However Viezzi will remember the 2023/24 winter for his World Championship title. The young Italian had also a bit of luck because his biggest opponent Aubin Sparfel punctured in the final lap.
"I still don't believe it, I need some time to understand what I've done," he commented in a quick interview after the race. "I'm very happy, it was my goal from the beginning and achieving it is priceless."
