With the cycling season has barely started the teams, riders and agents are already looking at the possibilities for what's next beyond 2024. Now it's being communicated that Mattias Skjelmose won't be available on the trasnfer market for some time now, as he is rumoured by GCN to be extending his contract with Lidl-Trek through 2026.
"I want to combine the Ardennes and the Grand Tours. That’s a possibility that looks really good to me," he told GCN in December. "Of course, leading a Grand Tour team means you need special riders around you and with Lidl coming in we’ll slowly start to be a Grand Tour winning team. If I can be a Grand Tour winner, I would love it."

So it’s a three year deal that was improved on for 2024 and extends the contract until the end of 2026. 🚨🇩🇰🇺🇸
