Dutch reveal their selections for Flamanville World Cup as Shirin van Anrooij makes her return

The Dutch, KNWU team has revealed their selections for the next round of UCI World Cup action in Flamanville with Shirin van Anrooij making her much anticipated return to racing.

“Among the women, we saw Lucinda Brand continue the upward trend with a win in Dublin. She is also scheduled for Flamanville," analyses Dutch national coach, Gerben De Knegt to the official KNWU website. "World Cup leader Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado will also be riding in Flamanville, as will Shirin van Anrooij who will be participating in the field again.”

In terms of the male side of the action, Lars van der Haar and Pim Ronhaar will lead the way. “It's nice to see that Pim confirms this with a second victory in Dublin, which means he is also doing a good job in the World Cup standings,” explains Gerben De Knegt. “Lars van der Haar and Joris Nieuwenhuis are also present again and I also had room in the selection for Luke Verburg, for example, who can gain some extra cross rhythm and score points for a better starting position.”

KNWU Selections for Flamanville World Cup:

Men's race - Lars van der Haar, Joris Nieuwenhuis, Pim Ronhaar, Ryan Kamp, Corné van Kessel, Stan Godrie, Mees Hendrikx, Luke Verburg.

Women's race - Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, Lucinda Brand, Inge van der Heijden, Annemarie Worst, Manon Bakker, Shirin van Anrooij, Denise Betsema, Aniek van Alphen, Leonie Bentveld, Lauren Molengraaf, Femke Gort.
