Eli Iserbyt has taken victory at the final X2O Trofee race of the season in Brussels this Sunday afternoon, ahead of his Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal teammate, Michael Vanthourenhout, the 50th win of his illustrious career.
With Eli Iserbyt and Joris Nieuwenhuis getting off well, the duo quickly set about stretching their advantage. In fact, the only man really eating into their lead was Iserbyt's own teammate, Michael Vanthourenhout and near the halfway mark of the race, he finally succeeded, making it a trio at the front.
Not for the first time this season, Nieuwenhuis suffered a complete blow-up towards the end of a race. With Vanthourenhout getting caught in the barriers moments later, the race seemed Iserbyt's for the taking. Sensing his chance, the Belgian began to put the power down towards an inevitable victory.
