“It took some searching at the beginning. I also changed tire pressure, because I couldn't lose my strength. It was tough otherwise," she says, noting her struggles with the mud early on. "Marion Norbert Riberolle and
Manon Bakker are technically strong, so the question was who made the fewest mistakes.”
“The course was very slippery. The top layer was broken and underneath it was hard. Then you don't really get a grip and that made it very difficult,” she concludes. “I have never won here before, so it is very nice to win.”
