VIDEO: Tour of the Alps stopped on the road as peloton heads out of race course

Ninety kilometres from the end of the first stage of the Tour of the Alps, the organisers of the Italo-Austrian race ordered the riders to stop and turn around after they had taken the peloton to the wrong road.

Everything was back to normal after a few moments of uncertainty however the incident led to some very interesting images. The opening stage was in the end won by Tao Geoghegan Hart who beat Felix Gall and Hugh Carthy in the stage's summit finish.
