Video: First-person view of Mathieu van der Poel's winning Milano-Sanremo attack

Mathieu van der Poel rode back to success at yesterday's Milano-Sanremo, after taking a solo win out of nowhere. The Alpecin-Deceuninck rider put in an unstoppable attack on the Poggio di Sanremo, and fans on the side of the road have captured the terrifying speed the riders climbed up it.

The short video sees the riders on the toughest part of the Poggio, right at the moment that van der Poel takes to the front. It is adrenaline-inducing footage which sees the winning move, as Tadej Pogacar led the chasing group, with other smaller groups then following behind.
