The final chance for the peloton's sprinters to taste victory before the coming days in the Alps, stage 11 of the
Tour de France saw a thrilling final sprint won once again by the man who is proving to be the fastest man in the race,
Jasper Philipsen.
Despite some concern in the peloton and in the team cars about potential crosswinds, echelons did not play a part on stage 11 of the 2023 Tour de France. As such it was one of those days where almost all of the excitement comes in the final few kilometres. Not that this will matter much to
Alpecin-Deceuninck's Jasper Philipsen who took his fourth stage win of the race, edging out
Dylan Groenewegen at the line.
