Tadej Pogacar looks set to spend his entire career with UAE Team Emirates. The Slovenian cyclist has already renewed his contract with the team on several occasions with long-term deals but the biggest of all may take him all the way to 2030 already.
According to Ciro Scognamiglio of Gazzetta dello Sport, the young Slovenian talent, who is about to participate in the Tour de France 2024, intends to extend his contract with the Emirati team for three more years, as his current contract expires in 2027.

It should be remembered that Pogi, one of Joxean Fernández Matxín's discoveries, landed at UAE in 2019, so if he renews and reaches 2030 he would reach a whopping 12 seasons in the same squad, something that is not at all easy in today's sport.
Although no figures of his possible salary have been leaked, we imagine that it will be around 6 million euros - what is reported to be his current salary - although the figures could have increased with respect to his previous contracts seeing that his performance is getting better and better as we saw during the last Giro d'Italia.
UNTIL THE AGE OF 32
If he fulfills his new contract with UAE, it would expire in 2030 at the age of 32. We don't know if, having started racing so early, he will be hungry for more cycling. After a few first years in different Slovenian teams and racing for the continental team Ljubljana Gusto Xaurum, Pogi landed in 2019 in his current team and quickly showed his potential by winning the Volta ao Algarve, the Tour of California and finishing third and winning three stages in the Vuelta a España.
Since then it is absolutely crazy what he has achieved with 2 wins, 2 second places and 11 stages in the Tour de France, 1 Giro GC win and 6 stages (in what was his debut), 3 Lombardia editions, 2 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, 1 Tour de Flanders... All whilst being one of the most popular and friendly riders in the peloton. All of this at the age of only 25. Absolute madness. We are not surprised that UAE wants to keep him for life, and with the team's budget we could see historic numbers in the sport.
