The route of #StradeBianche @eolo_it 2022 has been officially confirmed! The race will start from the Fortezza Medicea in Siena and end in Piazza del Campo in siena , after 184km, 11 sectors and 63km on gravel roads. 🤩
Strade Bianche organizers have revealed the route the race will take this year, having no changes in comparison with the previous years.
In the men's race we will find 184 kilometers of riding in what is frequently one of the most exciting races of the year. Those kilometers will include 63 kilometers of the so-called white roads through the vineyards of Tuscany, spread throughout 11 sectors which include trecherous descents, gruelling steep climbs and very long sectors where mishaps can easily happen to the riders. In Siena, both races will have it's traditional finale up the final steep ramps into the Piazza del Campo.
As for the Strade Bianche Donne it will have it's eighth edition in the roads of Tuscany, the route will be slightly shorter with 136 kilometers in distance and it will include 31.4 kilometers of gravel roads. Compared to the men's race it will not have the sectors of Lucignano d'Asso, Pieve a Salti and Monte Sante Marie, but it will include a passage is the majority of the same sectors and have an equally brutal finish up the Via Santa Caterina.
