Report suggests Lennard Kämna should make comeback to cycling 'without restrictions' - German rider still in the hospital over three weeks after life-threatening crash

One day before the mass crash at Itzulia Basque Country, Lennard Kämna suffered a hard training crash in Tenerife having been hit by a car. A few weeks later, good news finally emerge from the German media.

Kämna was training in preparation for the Giro d'Italia when he was the victim of an incident that left him with several broken ribs and pulmonary contusions. He was the only rider involved, despite having been out with several teammates on that day. BORA - hansgrohe provided a detail telling he was stable a few days later, but nothing more was officially said since.

However, after words of Kämna himself on social media, German news outlet BILD reports that the 27-year old will be able to make a full recovery and should be back to the sport without restrictions, according to what was told to him by the medical staff at the hospital where he stayed at. The Giro d'Italia is off plans and the Tour de France most likely is as well, but the report suggests that he will soon return to Germany to continue his treatment and return to cycling.
