Remco Evenepoel expected to start his road to the Tour de France at the Volta ao Algarve

In 2024, Remco Evenepoel is expected to finally make his Tour de France debut. Whether he will be able to compete for the Maillot Jaune remains to be seen but according to the latest reports, he will begin his preparation at the Volta ao Algarve.
Belgian outlet Het Laaste Nieuws claim to be aware of the Soudal - Quick-Step leader's schedule for 2024 and according to them, the Portuguese stage race will see Evenepoel begin his campaign.
During the remainder of the year, it is claimed that a Paris-Nice debut will also be another milestone for the 23-year-old in the coming year. In the Classics, Liege-Bastogne-Liege will again take precedence for Evenepoel after taking victory in the race the last two years.
Prior to the Tour de France, Evenepoel is expected to take in the traditional tester race of the French Grand Tour at the Criterium du Dauphine. With his post-Tour schedule, Evenepoel is likely to prioritise the Olympic Games and World Championships.
