Arguably the most crucial race preceding the Tour de France, the Critérium du Dauphiné stands as a cornerstone of the World Tour stage races, often serving as the final preparatory step before the Grand Boucle. Starting on June 5th, it spans eight stages through the Massif Central, the Rhône Valley, and the Alps.
With World Tour status, the Dauphiné is naturally a race with a high amount of
prize money to be distributed between the teams. These will be attributed to each rider who finished in the Top 20 of every stage, as well as the Top 20 of the final overall classification and the total will add up to €120.000.
There will be €10.000 attributed each day towards the stage results, and the final overall classification will hand out an extra €40.000. Whilst €4000 will be given to every stage winner, the prize in the final overall classification will be 4 times the stage result value.
