The eleventh stage of Tour de France, to everyone's expectation, turned into a bunch sprint that was once again won by Jasper Philipsen who is unstoppable in bunch sprints. However Bauhaus is riding a really good grand tour as well three podiums in the bag already.
"It went very quickly again," Bauhaus puffed out at Eurosport. "It was slippery from the rain. Everyone was more careful, but there was no real lead-out. I was behind Dylan Groenewegen, but I think Luka Mezgec went too early and we lost pace. In the end I was tired when I had to start, so I'm happy with my third place."
"Jumbo-Visma and others maintained very good control. Things went very fast in the final," said satisfied Bauhaus.
"I myself didn't have such good legs after Tuesday's stage, but hour after hour I felt better. I'm here for results and this was one of my last chances, because you never know how far you'll get in this Tour," the Tour debutant concluded.
