As both Mathieu van der Poel and Remco Evenepoel took a break from their intense training, the pair of cycling stars met up for a drink and a chat at the Velosol Cycling Bar.
A famous hotspot where many of cycling alumni have stopped for a bit to eat or a drink in the past, the Velosol Cycling Bar will have many such meet-ups over the years. It is unknown however if the pair deliberately chose to rendezvous there or if it happened purely by chance.
Evenepoel is currently staying in Syncrosfera, near Denia as he makes the final preparation for his attempt at winning the Giro d'Italia which of course finally gets underway next week on Saturday.
Van der Poel meanwhile is a resident of the area having bought a house in the region. The Dutchman is currently taking it easy after a hectic start to the year and will be next back in action at the Tour de Suisse before taking part in the Tour de France later this summer.
