Mark Cavendish has finally announced his retirement from pro cycling very recently, finishing a career that has been wildly successful and has had a huge roller-coaster of emotions throughout the past few years. But the Manxman will not abandon the cycling world, and there is a possibility that he will actually be part of INEOS Grenadiers once again.
This wouldn't be the first time the 'Manx Missile' connected with Great Britain's only World Tour outfit, as he was the team's head sprinter in the 2012 season where he stormed to three Tour de France stage wins, among others. He has since been through many other teams until he hung up the wheels this year.
An ambassador role for Astana Qazaqstan Team or a bike brand could very well be on the path of the veteran, but Italian journalist Beppe Conti has also reported that he received an offer from INEOS to join the team in a management role - this in the wake of a big change in stuff and ambitions for coming seasons.
