Lidl-Trek sign brothers of Mads Pedersen and Jonathan Milan plus nephew of Michael Rogers to developmental team

Lidl-Trek have announced a further six riders that will join their newly formed developmental team in the 2024 season with some familiar names among the riders.

Martin Pedersen, brother of Lidl-Trek's star sprinter Mads Pedersen will join the team, with one of their biggest signing of the window, Giro d'Italia points classification winner Jonathan Milan, will also be joined by his younger brother, Matteo Milan. Another name that may ring a bell to some is that of Cameron Rogers, nephew of former three-time world time trial champion Michael Rogers.

“Honestly, I’m really looking forward to the start of this program. To have our own project is going to be super interesting. It will be a long-term project so we can really plan for the future of this team," says Lidl-Trek's Markel Irizar. “Looking to our roster we have more fast guys and classics-style riders. We might miss a little bit in the long climbs, but I think we will be very good in the sprints and the cobbles. For me the most important is that we start well with a good image and that we are able to show the team spirit we have.”

The total of riders now signed to Lidl-Trek's developmental squad is fourteen with Niklas Behrens, Cole Kessler and Jakob Soderqvist completing the list of six further additions.
