Kévin Vauquelin is forced to once again postpone his return to competition. The 22-year old Frenchman is finally on a road to recovery, however he won't be ready in time for National Championships in Cassel on June 25.
"I've only been able to train well again this week," said the winner of the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes and the Tour du Jura on his team's website.
"The pain is now almost non-existent, but unfortunately I don't have enough quality training days to return to competition as demanding as the French Championship. It's really heartbreaking for me not to be present in Cassel, with a course that I liked. I wish the best to my Arkéa-Samsic team on this event, and I will be behind my television screen the first supporter of my teammates."
As if it wasn't enough trouble for the French team, Maxime Bouet and Donavan Grondin won't be available for National Championships either. Bouet has breathing problems, while Grondin is out with tear in his left thigh.
