"It's something incredible, it's wonderful to have won all five" - Christophe Laporte continues Jumbo-Visma's spring classics domination

Christophe Laporte won last weekend the Gent-Wevelgem and today he has conquered the Dwars door Vlaanderen. The Frenchman took his chances perfectly and was understandably very happy with what he achieved after astounding success

"It was a very complicated day, the team did a great job, it's incredible, I'm happy to have achieved it," Laporte said in a post-race interview. On the race strategy, he highlighted the work of his teammate Tiesj Benoot to select the group so that he had the chance to take advantage of his strength at the end: "Tiesj was very strong on the climb, he was the one who made the selection and then we collaborated well in the group and I waited for my moment to take my chance".

Jumbo-Visma played their cards throughout the day to split the peloton but

"It's something incredible, it's difficult to analyze, the condition is very good. I trained very well after the illness, I came back very well, I'm fresh and I'm taking advantage of it. I repeat again, we are a very strong team and that helps".

After Dwars door Vlaanderen., 5 wins out of 5 for Jumbo-Visma in pavé races: "It's something incredible, it's wonderful to have won all five, we've started very well, now we'll try to win on Sunday, which is not going to be easy. We're going to give everything."

On his chances of winning Roubaix or Flanders he commented: "I think there are 3 men who are above the others, Wout (van Aert), Pogacar and van der Poel".
