Thibaut Pinot was a very popular figure at the Tour de France and during stage 20 he had a 'Pinot corner' at a home ascent in the Vosges. At Il Lombardia, this will once again take place, in the final ascent to Bergamo Alta just a few kilometers before the finish.

“I have the stress of finishing the Tour of Lombardy because I believe that the Pinot corner is quite far in the race," Pinot shared with L'Équipe. "It hasn’t been a gift until today, because knowing that everyone is coming, making the trip, and that you might not even be able to finish the race, it put a lot of pressure on me."
