On her road dernière, Puck Pieterse will make her Tour of Flanders debut next Sunday after scoring another big top 10 result at Gent Wevelgem in yet another debut. All her competitors must fear the day the versatile star of Fenix-Deceuninck turns the switch and goes all out for the Classics.
"At first I was going to stop at Dwars door Vlaanderen but I think quite quickly after the first two weekends of racing we already decided I would go until the Ronde because it's only a few more days."
"After the Ronde, it’s really done," she confirmed to Cyclingnews. "I would love of course to go further when it goes this well, but the mountain bike just has the priority. I hope there are still some years for me to ride Roubaix and the Ardennes."
"With how it’s going now, of course, you have to dream of the highest and I think we have a really good team," she thinks. "We worked really well together here at Gent-Wevelgem, so I think even winning is possible."
