Gleb Syritsa sprints to victory in the first stage of Tour de Langkawi

Gleb Syritsa has won the first stage of the Tour de Langkawi. He was the fastest in the final sprint and crossed the finish line first to secure the victory.

The breakaway included Trym Holther (Drone Hopper), Jambaljam Sainbayar and Nur Aiman Zariff (Terengganu), Tiano Da Silva (Pro Touch), Carter Bettles (Ara), Peerapol Chawchiangwang (Thailand CT) and Stephen van Empel (China Glory), Nick Zulkifli (Malaysia) and John Salazar (Philippines). The group worked together and took a lead of 2 minutes and 45 seconds.

The breakaway was caught 19 kilometres before the finish line. In the end, Gleb Syritsa was the best in the final sprint and took the stage win. Erlend Blikra finished second, while Max Kanter took the bronze.
