Tadej Pogacar's 2022 season was one of tremendous success. Although he missed out on the Tour de France win, the UAE Team Emirates took wins in many races he took part in, and put on a spectacle in many others.
Velon have compiled a string of clips from the 2022 season, which he has just completed, taking the win at Il Lombardia for a second time in a row. The video highlights his wins at Strade Bianche, UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriatico, Il Lombardia aswell as two of his three stage wins at the Tour de France.
His season included more success however, as he also won his home Tour of Slovenia, the GP de Montréal and Tre Valli Varesine. This season the Slovenian supertalent also put his focus on the spring classics, where he finished on the Top5 of both Milano-Sanremo and the Tour des Flandres following incredibly aggressive performance, aswell as second at the Tour de France where he ferociously put Jonas Vingegaard under pressure on countless occasions after losing the race lead in the Alps.
This set of results has seen Pogacar, for the second year in a row, take the title as the rider with the most UCI points taken, with popular platforms FirstCycling and ProCyclingStats also attributing the Slovenian with the most points in their own personal rankings.
