Former pro Yoann Offredo shares his first impressions on Tour de France 2024 route: "There are all the ingredients for an exceptional Tour de France"

Yoann Offredo when he and all the others present in the Palais des Congrès in Paris discovered the route of the Tour de France 2024. Questioned at the microphone of Cyclism'Actu, the ex-rider who became a consultant for France Télévisions gave his impressions on the route of the 111th edition of the Grande Boucle.

"It’s super tough, you’ll have to be ready from the start," he says. "On paper, there are all the ingredients for an exceptional Tour de France, but it is the riders who make the race."

The ideal scenario for Yoann Offredo? "The fantastic 5 with Remco Evenepoel joining, Primoz Roglic in a new team, and suspense maintained until the last time between Monaco and Nice."

However, it remains difficult for him to identify a favorite: "Above all, you will need to have a great team around you, this is the case with Jonas Vingegaard, he has the best training in the world. I think that Remco Evenepoel is still a little behind with his team, especially in the mountains. Tadej Pogacar will also be hungry for revenge. So it'll be a really interesting and exciting Tour de France."
