Daniel Martínez bounced back into great shape after his move to BORA - hansgrohe and took an impressive victory over Remco Evenepoel at the Alto da Fóia. However after yesterday's time-trial, the Colombian admits that winning the Volta ao Algarve is a mighty task.
"Today the stage is really hard but the last climb is not too long you know. It's difficult, Remco is really good right there specially in the mountain and yeah to be honest it's hard to take GC but yeah we'll see," Martínez told the microphones of Cyclingpro.net this morning.

It is no secret that Evenepoel came into the race as the main favourite for the overall classification and the time-trial was his main weapon. So far, everything has gone according to the script for the Belgian, and he enters the final day of racing with 47 seconds over Martínez - and over a minute to the rest of the competition.
Uphill it will also be a tough task to drop the 24-year old. "We want to win the stage, we have Sergio [Higuita] in good shape," Martínez concludes, perhaps hinting that the stage win is more in the mind of the team currently, with two cards to play in the steep Alto do Malhão which will conclude the racing in Portugal this afternoon.
