Cycling Market: Argentinean cyclist Eduardo Sepulveda has renewed his contract with the
Lotto Dstny team for the next 2 seasons. The 32-year-old has signed for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
The winner of the general classification of the Vuelta a Castilla y León 2023 faced his first season in the Belgian team that has trusted him to continue for two more years. He accumulated victories in the Tour of Turkey, San Luis, Faun-Ardèche, Tour du Doubs and Castilla y León. In the Vuelta a España 2023 he led the KOM classification for several stages.
"Eduardo is an important part of our climbing team and, with more than ten seasons as a professional, he has accumulated a lot of experience. And he wants to continue to pass on that experience to the young climbers of Lotto Dstny. Eduardo is not only an appreciated and respected teammate, but he also takes his own opportunities. Proof of that is the stage and overall win in Castilla y Léon, and he's also showing some nice things in La Vuelta," commented Lotto-Dstny general manager Stéphane Heulot.
"From the moment I met the team, I immediately felt at home," Sepúlveda commented. "So I'm very happy to continue the adventure at Lotto Dstny. Within the team, we riders are perfectly surrounded by professionals, who make sure that we only have to think about riding. In addition, our own comments or suggestions are also taken into account, which creates a really positive atmosphere."
