The Mallorca 312 is one of the most important cycling events in the world and once again it has shown with a highlight of this year's edition being the appearance of Lionel Scaloni.
For those who don't know, Scaloni is the manager of the Argentina national football team and a few months ago, alongside Lionel Messi, guided his nation to victory against France in a penalty shootout to lift the World Cup.
Scaloni has shown that, in addition to knowing a lot about football, he is a great cyclist, after he participated in the Mallorca 167 test this weekend (312 and 167 refer to the kilometres raced) and finished just outside the top 20.
It is famously a very tough race with more than 2550 meters of unevenness and one in which more than 3,300 cyclists take part. Scaloni finished the race in position number 23 after spending more than five hours on the bike at a speed greater than 32 km/h.
