Alberto Contador, as a climber, was one of the riders with the least body fat percentage in the peloton throughout his career. However, gone from pro racing for some years, he's now had a surgery to eliminate over 100 fat lipomas.
"Yesterday it was time to go to the repair shop. I needed to get some lipomas removed and it turned out I had over 100! I won’t be riding for a while..." Contador said in an Instagram post.
'El Pistolero' has been working for Eurosport as an analyst for some years now, aswell as keeping up with the EOLO-Kometa team which has risen from the Fundacion Contador team. He's an avid cyclist however for the coming period of time it isn't expected that the Spaniard will be riding on two wheels.
