Tadej Pogacar is no unknown to cyclocross, having raced it in the past and taken national titles, and it has been announced that the
UAE Team Emirates will be returning to off-road racing this week.
Pogacar will be in action this Monday, the 26th, in his home country of Slovenia. He will be racing the Ciklokros Ljubljana, a race that does not attribute UCI points, however should see some of the country's best in action, and where Pogacar will be looking to have some fun and test his form.
In the meantime, this Monday will see the world's best go head-to-head in Gavere for the 11th round of the World Cup. Laurens Sweeck and Michael Vanthourenhout will battle for the World Cup lead whilst several others look to break out as was the case last week in Val di Sole.
However the main competition in the men's side should be between Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel and Tom Pidcock who will only be focusing on the victory in this prestigious race. In the women's field Fem van Empel and Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado will be absent and a fight for the win is expected between Puck Pieterse and Shirin van Anrooij.
