Charles Kagimu, hailing from Uganda, secured the title of Africa's new time trial champion by defeating Moise Mugisha of Rwanda with a 40-second advantage in the capital of Ghana, Accra.

The Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè rider, Henok Mulubrhan, took third place with a gap of 1 minute and 3 seconds to the winner, Charles Kagimu.

A noteworthy aspect of this event is that Charles Kagimu utilized Luke Rowe's old time trial bike. He was invited to INEOS Grenadiers' training camp and was provided with equipment from the team.

Mauritius' Aurelie Halbwachs emerged as the winner of the women's race, defeating Valentine Nzayisenga of Rwanda by 36 seconds. The bronze medal was earned by Kimberly Le Court de Billot from Mauritius, trailing the winner by 39 seconds.
