"After eight years at Jumbo-Visma I felt like I had reached my finish line" - Marc Lamberts explains decision to follow Primoz Roglic to BORA - hansgrohe

Not only Primoz Roglic will leave Jumbo-Visma for pastures new at BORA - hansgrohe in 2024 but also the vastly experienced and very highly regarded performance coach, Marc Lamberts will make the switch.

"I am eager to start the new challenge. After eight years at Jumbo-Visma, and after making history by winning all three Grand Tours this year, I felt like I had reached my finish line," Lamberts tells BORA - hansgrohe's official website.

Lamberts had worked very closely with both Roglic and Wout van Aert in his time at Jumbo-Visma, with many regarding him as a key figure in the development of both riders. “I am always looking for the best people on board to make the team successful,” says Dan Lorang, Head of Performance at BORA - hansgrohe, unsurprisingly delighted by the arrival.

“Marc brings decades of experience in elite sport and coaching to the team and has worked for one of the most successful teams in recent years. I really like his multidisciplinary approach and I believe he can help us become a leading WorldTour classification team in the coming years," he continues. “I look forward to working with Marc and seeing how he helps both experienced riders and young talents to get the best out of themselves."
