Adam Yates abandons UAE Tour following tough crash and possible concussion

Adam Yates crashed on stage 3 of the UAE Tour and suffered harsh injuries. It is unclear yet if the Briton has suffered a fracture, but has shown slight signs of concussion and jumped into the team car halfway through the climb to Jebel Jais.
Yates crashed with just over 30 kilometers to go and took a while to get back to the bike. The slow-moving peloton allowed him to regain position, but the Briton looked bothered by his injuries. Yates was the main favourite to win the overall classification at the start of the race. He was dropped by the peloton in the ascent to Jebel Jais and immediately abandoned the race.

- Pointless reporting. They are rivals, each tries their way to get their best result, with or without collaboration. As long as it’s all fair, why even report riders feelings about such stuff (yes I know, lack of other news). Anyone riding races will go through dozens of moments per race where they get emotional about the way someone else rides or takes advantage or doesn’t collaborate or more, it is natural, it is justified, it is NOT newsworthy!Mistermaumau17-11-2024
