- It will be very interesting to see it Premier Tech can just walk away from sponsorship of Sylvan Adams team without any financial repercussion or obligation, as a contract has likely been broken. I don't know the details of how cycling team sponsorship works, but Premier Tech may not be in a position to be able to start sponsoring a new team if they are technically still a sponsor of Adams team in 2026.
- I know some young aspiring pros and semi pro women. While focusing on cycling most of them are also studying to have back up careers as cycling is not yet a viable choice for most. Reports from national training camps. Most of the young guys - fully dedicated to cycling. Most of the young women - working part time jobs or studying.
Scratch a female cyclist and you are much more likely to find a PhD, MD, business degree etc. than an equivalent age male cyclist. The good side of this is they can transition easily to other stuff rather than becoming cranky old cycling farts (see Roger de Vlaeminck story)
- There has to be a gap as the womans peleton do not even race half the distance of the males peleton . Would you pay people in the workplace the same wages if one half did half the work. Food for thought. Tin hat at the ready awaiting constructive criticism 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰
- I wish for the numbers for everyone to go up but I sincerely hope that there will always be a gap
- Life goes on.Athletes get better.Change is the only constant.Holding on to the past is a disease of the mind and soul.Hope you get better Roger.
- Have another shot of akvavit Jonas and keep telling yourself that you are still the best, haha
- A pack of average cyclocrossers going against each other. Of course there was gonna be a sprint finish.
- What, like Milan-San Remo??? The easiest race to win once and most difficult to win repeatedly? Go take some geography lessons man.
- Ah, that’s nice, rare here :-)
- Yes, you can do it again, but special conditions must be met, as happened the two times you won.
-In 2022, a so young, so impulsive Tadej with a weak team (these conditions no more)
-In 2023 a Tadej with improvised and inefficient prior preparation because injury/surgery: he was able to ride a normal bicycle two weeks before the start of the Tour and was unable to learn the TT. TT where you destroyed him in time and psychologically.
Maybe next year Tadej starts his natural decline but I doubt it, he still has junior legs, more likely to improve than to decline.
We will see.
You fight fiercely, don't give up! and welcome to the Giro! (if it's in Piemonte -my home- better).
