Iljo Keisse has early in October retired from road racing, and at the Six Days of Gent he's said his goodbyes from track racing where he's specialized throughout his career aswell. This week some star riders will make their presence felt in a track meet dedicated to him.
This will take place this Thursday evening in the 't Kuipke velodrome in Gent, Belgium. This will include a Derny race, elimination race, scratch race, points race and 500-meter sprint. Present in the event will be the likes of Mark Cavendish, Filippo Ganna, Niki Terpstra, Elia Viviani and Michael Morkov - all track experts.

Throughout his long career Keisse has taken three European titles in the Madison race and another at the Derny race, and has won several events throughout the year, including aswell several national championships in the Madison, Derny, Scratch and Points races.
On the road he's spent the last decade with Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team where he's been for many years a loyal domestique and part of the team's classics block.
