Fem van Empel has won the
UCI World Cup Tábor. She beat
Puck Pieterse and
Annemarie Worst in the final sprint and secured victory. Its her fifth victory of the season.
Marie Schreiber enjoyed a nice start, but after the first lap, she was joined by Fem van Empel, Ceylin del Carmen and Betsema. By the third lap, Van Empel was in the lead. Kata Blanka Vas was struggling to catch up to the leading group.
It was Puck Pieterse who was leading the final lap with Van Empel and Annemarie Worst just behind her. Betsema and Blanka Vas also joined the trio after some time. Van Empel attacked in the final 200 meters, and Pieterse tried to counterattack, but it was too late, and Van Empel crossed the finish line first to secure the victory. Puck Pieterse took silver, while Annemarie Worst finished third.
