Eli Iserbyt has developed into one of the leading figures in the cyclocross field, and
Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal's confidence has been reassured as the two agreed on an extra four seasons of collaboration.
Iserbyt, 24 years of age, has won the World Cup and the Superprestige last winter. Although not as consistent as some of his rivals, he has shown the talent to be able to contest and take wins at the highest level, even in the presence of the likes of Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel. Iserbyt has been for several years a rival of Tom Pidcock in the under-23 ranks, but has kept his focus on the discipline where he has grown into one of the world's best.
“Because I am someone who is looking for continuity. I feel fine within Pauwels Sauces - Bingoal," Iserbyt said in a press release. "This is a very good environment, in which I receive excellent support. I also feel completely at home here: like the team... This contract extension is a nice reward for the work of the past few years.”
The Belgian has decided to steer clear of the road as some of his rivals have done, in order to favour more MTB. He's suffered a back injury this summer however which has not allowed him to perform at the highest level, and he has reset his sights onto the winter, with the Cyclocross season set to begin this weekend.
