Eli Iserbyt's first cross weeks were probably far from what the Belgian champion imagined it. The rider of
Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal received a lot of criticism on social media after the stomping incident in the Exact Cross of Beringen. In addition, Iserbyt had a cup of beer thrown over him by a spectator during the
Koppenbergcross - probably some sort of late payback for the mentioned incident? How does he deal with all this?
"That is also something that is incidental and that you have to learn to deal with," Iserbyt responds in front of the camera of
WielerFlits. "You have to give all that a place. That takes a lot of energy. I am therefore certainly happy with the form that I have now, because that is not obvious. Many riders would end up in a downward spiral, which would make things very bad. I always try to stay strong, both physically and mentally."
