🖊️ Transfer news: 🇳🇱 Corné van Kessel will ride for Deschacht-Hens-Maes from 1 January 2023, where he signed a contract for two year. Van Kessel will restart his season on Friday in Niel after he broke his collarbone on training.
After failing to secure a contract extension with Tormans Cyclo Cross Team, Corne van Kessel has decided to join Deschacht-Hens-Maes next season. He will ride for the team until 2024.
He is very delighted to be a member of the team."I am happy to join this young, ambitious team. I want to grab the opportunities I get there with both hands to effectively manifest myself in the top five. I was also struck by how much attention is paid to cooperation and communication between staff and riders," shared van Kessel.
General manager Guido Verschueren is happy with the Dutchman's arrival. "As a team, we see the arrival of Corné as a strong sporting step forward. He has proven in recent years to be a solid value in the top-10 of international cyclocross. As a team, we hope to be the last missing piece that puts the puzzle together to compete for a podium place on a regular basis. We are already looking forward to starting the collaboration," concluded Verschueren.
