Aniek van Alphen beats Denise Betsema to secure victory in Superprestige Boom

Aniek van Alphen has won the Superprestige Boom. She beat Denise Betsema to secure her second victory of the season.

Blanka Kata Vas started with a nice lead but could not defend her position from Shirin van Anrooij. Aniek van Alphen joined the duo at the front. Last year's winner Lucinda Brand abandoned the race in the second lap.

Denise Betsema faced a tire puncture but quickly made a comeback and even surpassed Anrooij to join Aniek van Alphen in the second last lap. After a chaotic battle, van Alphen emerged victorious and secured victory. Denise Betsema had to settle for silver. Shirin van Anrooij finished third.
