The third edition of the Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior, a UCI 1.1 category race, will take place on Monday, February 12, 2024, linking the charming landscapes of the towns of Úbeda and Baeza in Jaén.
The Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior, which currently boasts the Slovenian
Tadej Pogacar as champion, after the Kazakh
Alexey Lutsenko was crowned in 2022, has become an unmissable stop on the international cycling circuit. This year, as last season, it will be preceded by the Gran Fondo Jaén Paraíso Interior, which will take place a day earlier on the same asphalt and 'sterrato' sectors that characterize the professional race.
Pascual Momparler, Spanish coach and organizer of the Gran Fondo and the race, expressed his enthusiasm for the next edition of this exciting competition: "We are back with great enthusiasm to show the world what Jaén is like through cycling". These words reflect the deep love and commitment that the organizers have for this competition.
The Andalusian classic has become an outstanding event that turns Jaén into the epicenter of world cycling during the month of February. The Gran Fondo, meanwhile, offers a unique opportunity for fans to share the same route as the world's best cyclists and, perhaps, share a few kilometers with them as they explore the challenging itinerary.
An intoxicating tour.
The layout of the Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior stands out for its broken profile and long climbs in the Caminos de Olivos, where cyclists will have to overcome dirt and asphalt sectors. The natural beauty and historical heritage of the cities of Úbeda and Baeza, both declared World Heritage Sites, add a special touch to this race.
