Stefan Kung has sadly missed out on another potential Championships victory, crashing in horrific fashion at the European Championships in Emmen.
The Swiss rider had been pacing himself towards the podium but it all unravelled for him in disastrous style as he clipped the bottom leg of a barrier coming into town. Despite being literally dripping in blood and having had his helmet smashed, Kung continued on and crossed the line, finishing in 11th position.
