The 2024 Milano-Sanremo has proven to be a very exciting one and one that will stand the test of time. Most of the main favourites played their cards in all-out attacks, but the fastest edition in the race's history has led to a sprint finish where Jasper Philipsen took the victory.
The final kilometers of the race have seen UAE Team Emirates push the pace in every climb, launching Tadej Pogacar who attacked twice up the Poggio di Sanremo. The latter was matched by Mathieu van der Poel, who then closed the attack of Matej Mohoric.
Right after, Matteo Sobrero made his move, and Tom Pidcock then sprinted all-out in the final kilometer to try and survive the chase. But Van der Poel and Jasper Stuyven's chase was extremely strong and into the sprint the catch was made.
Here Jasper Philipsen beat Mads Pedersen to take the win on the day. This is a finale worth remembering, and down below you find a video that shows off the exciting final kilometers.
