VIDEO: Filippo Ganna caught up in crash on penultimate lap of European Championships

Drama at the European Championships as one of the pre-race favourites Filippo Ganna has been caught up in a crash on the penultimate lap of the race.

As a rider clipped the barriers at the side of the road, he skewed back into the bunch knocking a number of riders to the deck including Ganna, Florian Vermeersch, Kim Heiduk and many more. Heartbreaking for those involved as seemingly it is too late to recover and fight for the win.
