As Carlos Verona soloed to the win on stage 15 of the 2025
Giro d'Italia, there was plenty of general classification drama happening further down the road. In the end, the big loser of the day turned out to be Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe's 2023 Maglia Rosa winner
Primoz Roglic.
Dropped by all his GC rivals on the final climb of the day, Roglic was convincingly distanced at the line, losing exactly a minute and a half to the Maglia Rosa
Isaac del Toro, leaving the Slovenian clinging on to his place in the Top-10, now 3:53 down on the Mexican UAE Team Emirates - XRG star.
With all the rest of the general classification hopefuls joining Del Toro in the GC group as they crossed the line,
Simon Yates (1:20),
Juan Ayuso (1:26) and
Richard Carapaz (2:07) retain their places of 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Then with Roglic dropping from 5th to 10th,
Derek Gee (2:54),
Damiano Caruso (2:55),
Antonio Tiberi (3:02),
Egan Bernal (3:38) and
Thymen Arensman (3:45) all move up one spot.

If he is going to the Tour, then he should abandon, get some rest, do some altitude training and maybe race the Dauphine before the Tour. Racing is always the best training but the last week of this Giro is going to be hell, no need to take your body down a peg or two when you need some rest already.
