There has been joyous news from the house of former Giro d'Italia winner Tom Dumoulin over the last few days as the 33-year-old Dutchman welcomed his first child with partner Maxime Nieman.
A baby boy, Dumoulin junior has been given the name Oscar. "Welcome dear Oscar Dumoulin. 08-10-‘24. Mom and Oscar are doing really well," announces the former Jumbo-Visma and Team Sunweb star via his official Instagram account. "Only love."
After a tough end to his career, Dumoulin announced his shock retirement with immediate effect in mid 2022 and has since been very open about his battles with mental health. Now though, baby Oscar looks set to bring massive joy to the former time-trial world champion and from all associated with CyclingUpToDate.com, we send our best wishes and congratulations!
