Thymen Arensman expects to return before the end of this season: "If the team appoints me, I will indeed race again"

Thymen Arensman will still be in action this season. The Dutchman from INEOS Grenadiers is recovering much faster than expected from a heavy crash in the Vuelta a España and is now back training in Andorra.

It is not yet known which races Arensman will ride. This probably concerns a number of Italian autumn races. The Dutchman is on the provisional start list of the Giro dell'Emilia, which will take place next Saturday.

A final choice has not yet been made. In a response, Arensman briefly says: "If the team appoints me, I will indeed race again to end the season on a positive note. We still have to wait and see in the training sessions and then the team will decide."

The 23-year-old Dutchman broke his collarbone and suffered facial injuries in the crash just over three weeks ago, but was able to resume training a week later. He says that he sometimes still has trouble with his teeth.
