Third addition for Team corratec – Selle Italia. After Niccolò Bonifazio and Andrii Ponomar, the Italian PRT team announced signing of Mark Stewart for next season. The 28-year-old rider showed himself well in Italy this year, obtaining excellent results at Per Semper Alfredo and GP Larciano, finishing in second and third place respectively.
"I am very happy to join Team corratec – Selle Italia. In the current season, the team has conducted an exceptional racing program which has led to excellent results. I can't wait to start this new adventure with them and I hope to be able to meet all my teammates and the staff soon. Furthermore, I am confident that I can contribute to the success of the team and achieve some good results," Stewart expresses.
The British rider, who is also successful on track, thus becomes second rider of Bolton Equities Black Spoke that secures a professional contract for 2024. The New Zealand's team had a strong first season among the professional ranks, including not less than 15 victories. However the funding will be cut in 2024 and thus the team won't renew its PRT license, hoping to survive on CT level to ideally bounce back in next year or two.
