Robert Gesink may have retired at the end of this road season, but that doesn't mean his love for cycling is suddenly gone. Whilst making an appearance at numerous shows sharing funny stories from his lengthy professional career, the Dutchman also found time to ride his bicycle with Sepp Kuss through the mountains of Andorra where both live.
The duo completed a six-hour ride with over 4.000 altitude meters several less known Pyrenean giants like Os de Civís, Port de Cabús and completing the ride with Coll d'Ordino. While pushing watts average person can only dream of, the two seemed to have enjoyed themselves, something to be seen as a good sign towards Kuss' 2025 ambitions.
"Suffering for me, easy endurance ride for him," is added laughingly. Not so strange, because the training was completed at an average of 265 watts. The two teammates (at least: still) of Visma | Lease a Bike were on the bike for more than six hours.
